Sailing kayak tours on Hobie Tandem Island - trimaran with MirageDrive propulsion.

 

We organize guided sailing kayak tours and expeditions around Island of Lošinj and around islands Ilovik, Sv. Peter, Susak, Srakane, Unije. In our sailing teritory is a population of 120 bottlenose dolphins, so there is high probability to see them playing around our boats. The schedule is shown on our base and will be confirmed day before the tour depending on the forecast. We have the fleet of six Hobie Tandem Island - sailing kayak trimarans also called sail-yak. This boat is powered by a roller-furling, boomless mainsail and when the wind stops blowing you can use revolutionary propulsion system MirageDrives - two pedals drive a pair of underwater fins. For orthodox paddlers there is always possibility to use prepared paddles.

This boat allows us to sail greater distances and also learn sailing skills and navigation. Each trip we begin with sailing and safety instructions and maintenance of boat. During the trip we will teach you basic sailing and navigation skills. One boat is for two participants.  Hobie Tandem Island sailyak is very stable boat, practically it is not possible to capsize. Tours are suitable for all levels of experiences with kayaking and sailing, from beginners to experienced. Be prepared that it is wet sport, especially when it is windy weather and we will fly the waves.

Do not forget to take on the tour: hat or cap, sunglasses, sun cream, swimsuit, light dress, bottle of drinking water. We will give you: life jackets and protective water and wind proof jacket.
